Every price you see for "new teeth" is a headline number. The bill is the headline plus the parts that only appear once the scan is read. This page puts the headline ranges and the add-ons in one place so you can build a realistic total before you talk to anyone. Everything is a typical 2026 range, not a quote.

How to build your own estimate
- Count what is being replaced: teeth or arches.
- Add extractions for anything still in that is coming out.
- If the teeth have been gone more than a year, pencil in a graft; if upper back teeth are involved, pencil in a sinus lift. The scan will confirm or remove these.
- Add sedation if it is a full arch or you want it.
- For Colombia, add travel: flights, seven to ten nights for a full arch, five to seven for single implants or extraction-plus-immediate.
Why the US number is what it is
US implant pricing carries specialist fees, lab fees, overheads and the fact that most dental insurance either excludes implants or caps annual benefits well below one implant. We break that down in why dental implants cost so much in the US. The short version: the materials are a small fraction of the bill everywhere; the difference is what surrounds them.
A note on currency
The Colombian peso strengthened through 2026, moving from roughly 3,805 to 3,070 per dollar. Colombian clinics price in pesos, so dollar figures on older pages are about 15 percent too low. The ranges here reflect current rates. If the dollar recovers, the saving grows again; if it does not, this is the honest number. Related: the 20-year cost comparison and full-arch cost US vs abroad.
Colombia's numbers are published clinic list prices in Medellin and Bogota, converted at 2026 exchange rates. The gap is widest on full-arch work and grafting, narrowest on simple dentures. Frequently asked
Why do quotes vary so much for the same procedure?
Grafting, sedation, extractions, temporary teeth and the material of the final crown or bridge are often priced separately. Ask every clinic for an itemised written plan so you compare complete totals.
Does the Colombia price include the crown?
Reputable clinics quote implant, abutment and crown together. Confirm in writing, and confirm the crown material and the implant brand.
Is the saving worth it for one implant?
In pure dollars a single implant saves roughly $2,000 to $4,500 before travel, so it depends on whether you were going anyway or combining it with other work. For two or more implants, or any arch, the saving clearly exceeds travel costs.
All prices are typical 2026 ranges drawn from published US self-pay data and Colombian clinic price lists, not quotes. USD/COP moved from roughly 3,805 to 3,070 during 2026, so dollar figures for Colombia have risen versus older articles. Only a clinic that has reviewed your scan can give you a real number.
