Sequencing inside trip one
Day 1 or 2: consultation, CBCT, blood work if needed, final plan and consent. Day 2 or 3: surgery. Days 4 to 7: review, suture check, adjustments, and time for swelling to settle before you fly. Most surgeons want at least 72 hours between implant surgery and a flight, longer for sinus lifts (a week is common, because cabin pressure changes and a fresh sinus lift do not mix). Build the stay around that, not around the cheapest flight.
Sequencing trip two
Trip two is easier: impressions or scans on day 1, try-in of the final bridge on day 3 or 4, fit and adjustments by day 5 or 6. Some clinics can compress this with digital workflows and in-house milling; ask. If your temporary bridge has cracked or your gums have changed shape, tell the clinic before you fly so they can plan for it.
Can the second trip be avoided?
Sometimes. For single implants, the final crown can be made by your home dentist from the clinic's records, if your dentist is willing. For full arches, a few clinics offer an extended single stay of three to four weeks with an immediate final bridge, but that requires excellent bone and is not the norm.
